2025 Volkswagen Tiguan

Moving into its third generation, the Volkswagen Tiguan offers substantial upgrades, both inside and out.

Moving into its third generation, the Volkswagen Tiguan offers substantial upgrades, both inside and out. As the best-selling SUV in Volkswagen’s lineup, the Tiguan sets the tone for new exterior styling, upgraded technologies, and a feature-rich cabin.

The exterior of the Tiguan now features a wider grille that gives the SUV a more planted stance, while flared fenders further accentuate its presence. The bold front end includes slimmer LED headlights with available Adaptive Front-lighting System and Light Assist high-beam control. At the rear, LED taillights come standard in a connected design. Higher-trim models enhance this look with a lit rear logo for an even more striking appearance on the road.

Under the hood, a key mechanical enhancement is the updated 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, which now produces 201 hp—up from 184 hp in the previous model. This increase in power is complemented by a weight reduction of approximately 170 pounds, achieved through the use of more aluminum and high-strength steel. The drivetrain retains Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system, now paired with improved Drive Mode Select for various conditions and even better responsiveness.

Inside, the third-generation Tiguan impresses with its upscale interior, characterized by a clean, elegant aesthetic and a new infotainment screen as its focal point. Standard is a 12.9-inch touchscreen, upgraded to a 15-inch touchscreen in the Highline trim. The infotainment system includes multi-phone pairing, HD Radio, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto connectivity, and AI-enhanced voice controls. Volkswagen’s generative AI-enabled voice assistant is available through a subscription in the myVW mobile app.

The 2025 Tiguan can also be equipped with a variety of convenience features. Standard equipment includes dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a wireless phone-charging pad, and a 10.25-inch digital driver display. Higher trims add ventilated front seats, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, quilted leather upholstery, and a massage function for the front seats.

Pricing for the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan starts at approximately $36,500 for the Trendline trim and rises to $47,495 for the Highline trim. It’s available now at OpenRoad Volkswagen Burnaby.
