2026 Lexus ES

The 2026 Lexus ES is a reimagining of the brand’s most popular luxury sedan, featuring a bolder design, larger proportions, and its first all-electric option. As Lexus’s eighth-generation midsize flagship, the ES blends cutting-edge electrification with the timeless elegance that has long defined the Japanese nameplate.

At first glance, the new ES wears the brand’s “Clean Tech x Elegance” design philosophy with confidence. It features a sleek silhouette measuring 5,140 mm in length with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. These proportions create a grounded stance while accommodating electrified components.

A tapered trunk and Twin L-Signature lamps define its contemporary profile, complemented by a slightly taller stance that improves aerodynamic balance and provides easier entry and exit for passengers.

Step inside, and the expanded dimensions reveal a cabin designed with equal consideration for drivers and passengers. The cockpit follows Lexus’s Tazuna concept, centering a 12.3-inch digital display alongside a 14-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone integration and a more intuitive voice assistant.

Rear passengers—especially those opting for the Executive VIP Package—enjoy lounge-like comfort with reclining seats, a passenger-side ottoman, massage functions, and individual climate controls.

Performance comes from a range of electrified powertrains. The ES 350h hybrid pairs a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with an eAxle to deliver efficiency and confident all-wheel traction. For full electric mobility, the ES 350e offers up to 480 km of driving range in a front-wheel-drive configuration. Meanwhile, the ES 500e trades some driving distance for the added assurance of an all-wheel-drive system that automatically balances power between the front and rear wheels.

Complementing its performance credentials, safety remains a cornerstone thanks to the latest Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 suite, which provides enhanced driver-assistance features.

Arriving in Canada in early 2026, the latest ES represents more than a generational update. It’s a bold step into the electrified era—where innovation, refinement, and Japanese craftsmanship converge to redefine what a midsize luxury sedan can offer.
