Paloma’s writing and reporting on art, culture, social issues, and humans’ relationship to the natural world have appeared in multiple publications. She’s currently an assistant editor at The Narwhal, a non-profit, reader-funded environmental magazine. “One of the strongest female figures in my life was my grandmother, who passed away in 2022,” she says. “She was a shy and mild-mannered woman, but her strength lay in her unconditional love for her family, and her great reserves of care for animals and the natural world.”
